Materials Needed to Play a Memory Game:

  • Copies of the cards: The students can play Hebrew to English, Hebrew to Picture, Picture to English, or use all three to make a more challenging game.
  • The cards should be photocopied, cut out, and laminated for future use if possible. The best paper is heavy stock paper.
  • For small group play or centers—a copy per group
  • For individuals: a copy for each student

Materials Needed to Make Flash Cards:

  • A copy of all three sets (Hebrew, English, Pictures) for each student
  • Index cards or Construction paper cut into ¼ pages size
  • Wet glue, glue stick, or tape
  • Scissors

Directions:

Students will cut out the words in Hebrew and English, then glue or tape them to opposite sides of the index card or paper—Hebrew on one side, English on the other. The picture can go on either side, or the pictures can be used instead of the English or Hebrew words. They can practice the vocabulary independently or with a partner.
